*E.coli Closes Middlesex Infant School and Nursery
Page 5 of 40

Feltham Hill Nursery and Infant School in Hounslow closed yesterday after two children were confirmed to have E. coli O157. There are also further cases of diarrhoea in children and family contacts but it is too soon to say whether this is the same infection.

Dr. Brian McCloskey, London Regional Director for the Health Protection Agency, said:
"The decision to close the school is a precaution whilst the investigation is being carried out. The local Health Protection Unit is working closely with the school and parents have been informed of the position.”
